For Children and adults with developmental challenges and their families. You're not alone. Let's make the journey together!
What kinds of activities does The ARC offer?
ARC Recreation Committee
The ARC Recreation Committee meets monthly
to plan activities, educational forums, and advocacy
for people with developmental disabilities.
Dignified Lifestyles
Each month volunteers visit the 17 group hames and two day programs that
serve Monroe County residents with developmental disabilities. The underlying philosophy of the Dignified Lifestyles Program is:
All people, regardless of the severity of their disabilities, are entitled to community living.
This means living which incorporates a quality environment, a normal, homelike atmosphere,
an opportunity to reach one's highest potential, the opportunity to be a productive citizen, and
an ability to exert one's rights.
Recreational Activities
The ARC sponsors or co-sponsors dances, dinner parties, hay rides and other activities. The programs are totally dependent upon donated funds.
